Dear Comrade

Image
In the chaos of life, she's not just a friend; she's my home. We've weathered storms together, surviving the chaos that life threw our way. From cramped hostel rooms to the shared laughter echoing through the walls, we've cooked, cleaned, and lived through the mundane and the extraordinary.     A friendship that transcended labels. She's more than a confidante; we've danced through the hard times, finding solace in each other's company. In the simplicity of late-night talks and spontaneous adventures, she became the anchor in the unpredictable sea of life.         Two years in a room taught us more about each other than years of casual conversation ever could. We learned to share not just space but dreams, fears, and the ordinary moments that make life extraordinary. In her, I found a haven—a place where authenticity thrives and judgment is a foreign concept. In the crazy rollercoaster of life, we have been through thic...

The Titanic Fashion

Image
Titanic Fashion                                       I’ve been always fascinated by the aesthetics of historical period dramas and movies.    Cameron’s Titanic is no exception for its exquisite settings, costumes, and many more. A more fashionable era than the Edwardian era, the titanic fashion era even though short marks its place in the history of fashion for class, elegance, and luxury, from 1910 to 1912. Let me take you through a spectacular road of fashion.                   Women of different classes who traveled on the titanic had a careful sense of fashion, especially the rich first class. Even bound to the rigidity of the class system, fashion witnessed stirring changes and focused on femininity and beauty. Fashion was in a state of flux as there were way more of a liberated approach and exotic influences, creating eclectic ...

Great Expectations

Image
A s kids, we yearn for the grand tapestry of adulthood, envisioning a life where we call the shots, and the world is our oyster. Little did we know that growing up comes with a side of uncertainty, a cocktail of great expectations seasoned with the bitter taste of disappointment.      T he journey into adulthood resembles a rollercoaster, with highs that brush the skies and lows that plunge into the depths of self-doubt. We imagined reaching a certain age would bring clarity, a roadmap for the next steps. Yet, as grown-ups, we find ourselves standing at a crossroads, questioning what we truly want to be in a world that seems both vast and confining.  The question that once seemed distant—“What do you want to be when you grow up?”—lingers as an unanswered riddle.    T he grandiose dreams we held as children morph into a mosaic of shattered expectations. The elusive stability and confidence we expected to come naturally are often rep...

'A Picture Perfect Farewell'

Image
While leaving this place, I was overwhelmed with emotions. The journey was one of a kind. It is not a straight yes if you ask whether I liked it. As I went through the peaks and valleys, all the academic stress was ultimately worth it. The weight of assignments and exams sometimes felt unbearable, testing the limits of my endurance. I conquered fears, embraced the unknown, and grew into a version of myself I never thought possible. Amid the academic turmoil, the camaraderie I shared with the people whom I still call my people will forever hold a special place in my heart. We laughed together until tears streamed down our faces, created memories that defied the boundaries of time, and supported each other through triumphs and setbacks.  Yet, I also faced the bitter truth that not all relationships were meant to withstand the tests of time. Some friendships faded, consumed by the complexities of life's journey. While the pain of those losses was palpable, I've realised that the...
